A Word To the Kids

We encourage you to accept every challenge with strength
and conviction, with patience and balance. Be truthful, gentle and always forgiving.
Take adventure with your eyes open wide.
To steady the journey, travel often inside. Seek poetry, passion, beauty and art. Keep magic and wonder tucked close to your heart, Celebrate failure with just one more try.
Be mindful of the riches that money can’t buy. Be childlike; laugh often and share every joy. Honour the man, remember the boy, recall all the faces that helped light the way, give thanks for their love and remember this day.

The Moral Value
of Mistakes
 Mistakes
are critical building blocks in the problem solving process. When
a child is learning to walk, falling down is as important as getting
up. Many of us haven’t had an opportunity to learn to appreciate mistakes as opportunities for growth. Mistakes don’t fit in with our vision of ourselves as perfect parents. But perfection -even if it was achievable, is not what kids need from us. It is better for kids to have parents who demonstrate how to keep growing despite human frailties. Children watch us carefully. Through our example, we can teach them how they deal with their mistakes is more important than the fact that a mistake that was made. And here are some tips:
** Recognizing mistakes is the first step:-
** Model these mistakes are manageable Give your child an incredible statement of optimism by saying “OH! Made a mistake. Well, that didn’t work. I guess I have to try another way”. That is significant for a child who is going to learn through making mistakes for a life time
** Remember that being able to correct yourself is a real sign of strength
** Take steps to avoid the same mistakes.
Involve your child in the problem solving process. Children love to come up with ideas, and their suggestions can be quite useful. Ask your child: “What would you have liked to do? How do you think we should handle that situation? ”
This will build your child’s personality and perfectly add to his character in
all aspects; mentally, morally and psychologically.
